In Memory of our Sweet "soldier" Miles

We miss you sweet baby Miles!

I love this tender picture!

Sleep, little Miles, our beautiful Miles.

Me and Ashley, after the funeral. Isn't she
beautiful?

Miles' burial. The little soldier on his casket
is because "Miles" means soldier.

I love this picture of Mark and Ashley
because at the end of the day, they have each
other to hold onto and to go through joy AND pain
together.

The funeral was such a touching and spiritual service. I started crying as soon as I came into the chapel. I had a brother that died right after he was born as well. I think that having just had a baby myself and having worried about a condition the doctors warned us he may have had (luckily didn't) that would've shortened his life considerably, I just felt such empathy.
Your daughter's letter to Miles was incredibly beautiful and so was your poem.
I hope you all continue to find the comfort you need.

I heard the funeral was nice. Sorry we couldn't make it. My love goes out to you and Ash (and sam and mark and all your fam) at this time. And, yes, it is good that Ashley and Mark have each other, through joy and pain.

Hi Rhea,

I came across your blog through Kersey's. Wow, I am just sitting here crying. How difficult this must be for you and your family. We will keep you in our prayers.

I love your thought about Tender Mercies....that is so true.

We miss our Encinas Ward friends.

The funeral was beautiful and I have so much respect & admiration for both families. The music & talks were all so uplifting and I'm glad that I was able to be there & hear the messages. You are all amazing people!
